A few months ago, the hubby and I moved our lives from Montreal to Toronto, and we're slowly discovering new places and becoming regulars at our favorite spots. Today, I'm introducing you to one of my new discoveries: The Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie Paris. This Moroccan hidden gem is located on the 5th floor of the luxurious Shangri-La Hotel in downtown Toronto.

When you walk into the spa, everything, from decor to scents, transport you into an exotic world where you are the cherished princess. The staff is very welcoming and the ambiance is calm and relaxing. Truly the place to escape from all the hustle of this hectic city.

Pre-Wedding Beauty treatments to consider:
Slimming-wrap treatment
The Caudalie slimming wrap is a relaxing 30 minute treatment, which starts with the application of warm clay from neck to toes while you lay down on a heated table. After tightly wrapping your body like a cocoon, your esthetician will give you a soothing head massage (I think this was my favorite part - I totally fell asleep!). Next, to help the detoxification process you will be asked to sit in your en-suite wet sauna for 10 minutes while the product penetrates further and unwanted toxins leave your body. After a quick shower, you can relax in their Alhambra lounge, sip on spicy herbal tea and savour a classic moroccan pastry - You'll want to stay here all day!


Hammam Spa
Traditionally part of the pre-wedding ceremony in the Middle East, the Hammam is an ideal group activity to share with your bridesmaids so you all look picture-perfect for the big day. It's also the perfect activity to relax and detoxify your bodies after a bachelorette party!
These high intensity steam chambers infused with Eucalyptus can be paired with another service such as a gommage, body masque or massage. At the Miraj Hammam Spa, you can personalize your services for your group of 2 to 10 people. This is the gown up version of a pajama party with your girls!
