2016 WedLuxe Experience

They say it is the most glamorous, most elegant and most over-the-top bridal show in Toronto... and they are right!  The second we stepped into the Carlu on February 9th for the WedLuxe media preview, we were welcomed with an enormous arch of lemon trees leading the way to the entrance of the show and to the start of the hunt to discover hundred of wedding vendors.
The theme of this year's show revolved around La Dolce Vita: Good food, romantic vibe, art pieces made out of sugar and delicate jewelry and dresses were present à la Italiana!WedLuxe, 2016 wedding show, 2016 weddings, Bridal expo, canada, chic wedding, wedding decor, wedding flowers, toronto wedding vendors,
But first things first,  no lady is ready for a party without a little help from the pros. We stopped for a beauty touch up by the talented team of makeup artists from Victoria Radford. Here's a quick tip from the girls: Use your blush as a 3-in-1. On your cheeks, in the crease of your eyelids and on your lips mixed with a little gloss." I love this trick for brides looking to pack light for their honeymoon!
Kleinfelds showcased at their booth what seems to be trendiest bridal style of 2016: sexy see-through lace. I have to say that to say yes to this dress, I would have to say yes to juice diet for a year, since you know, Spanx are not an option here!

Words can't explain how grandiose and intricate were these pieces from Fine Cakes by ZheraWe were in awe over ever single one of her cakes. If an Oscar was to be given for the best exhibitor at the show, the award would have to go to her!WedLuxe, 2016 wedding show, 2016 weddings, Bridal expo, canada, Toronto wedding vendors, wedding cakes, Toronto wedding cakes, Most beautiful wedding cakes

We loved the simplicity and modernity of the CountdownEvents tables setting below. Anything Kate Spade makes us happy so these Parker Place accent plates were sure to steal our hearts!  WedLuxe, 2016 wedding show, 2016 weddings, Bridal expo, canada, Toronto wedding vendors, wedding planner Toronto, wedding styling, tablescape, Kate Spade
Probably my favourite finding at the show was Alexis Gallery's jewelry shop. I'm still dreaming of her midi rings, stackable ring sets and pear shaped precious stones. Valentine's Day wish list anyone?

And what's an Italian party without good food? We were in for a treat as Oliver & Bonacini served us flavourful hors-d'oeuvres to accompany our Italian sodas.

And finally, to finish our Italian soirée, we got fresh roses from the gorgeous flower market installation. The only thing missing was a few Italian boys waving "Ciao Bella"!
We left the WedLuxe show wishing for another wedding to plan and a ton of goodies to take home.
