Toronto Local Wedding Vendors - The Wedding Co

It was with a lot of excitement and anticipation that I visited the Wedding Co. Spring event last month. I love how this event brings together local vendors with a truly artistic eye and love for their products and services. I was impressed with how fresh every single flower looked and how pinterest-worthy the place was, everywhere you turned. But what makes this event truly different from any other wedding fair I've been to before, is the workshops. This is the spot for the DYI bride that wants to wow her guests with personalized creations by learning a new skill such as calligraphy, paper flower making or even how to create a fresh flowers centrepiece.
Below, discover my favorite findings and some tips from the local vendors I met at the Wedding Co. event. I hope you feel inspired and maybe find your wedding florist or wedding planner from this list. Feel free to share with me which vendors you picked for your big day!

The Mix &Match heaven of Benny & Viv:
These ladies love to play with perfume bottles, antique vases, terrariums, cookie jars and even vintage tabasco sauce bottles to give character to their flower arrangements. They follow the current "organic-chic" trend that incorporates a mix of flowers shape, colors and heights to create dimension and a playfulness to table settings.
Their flowers of choice for Spring: Anemones and Ranunculus
See their creations on Instagram.

Elegant food at an affordable price at Citizen Catering

They promise fresh, local and sustainable ingredients to achieve flavourful dishes served in a style that meets your wedding theme and budget.

The epitome of elegance: August in Bloom - event stylist The minute I found August in Bloom on Instagram, a few months ago, I instantly fell in love with Sara's taste for pretty things. Maybe it's her Kate Spade-like style that got me mesmerized over her creations or her incredible talent - whichever it is, I knew her booth at the Wedding Co. was going to be nothing short of spectacular -  and I was right. Her theme was "luscious garden party" and she didn't omit any single detail. The table was filled with gorgeous roses and greenery combined with touches of gold and mint. the words Mr. & Mrs. were hand written on the ghost chairs and on glass cloche covering personal cakes.
Get inspired by her creations like I did, on Instagram or contact her here.

For the love of Photography: The Dan Osadtsuk Photography Co.
A true artist! This photographer was for sure one of my favorite discoveries during the event. He has a passion for his art and is super friendly ( Lord knows how crucial of a quality this is!) If you like He candid photography, like me, you'll enjoy his style. Find him on Instagram or contact him here.

DIY Fun! Like I said, the best part of this event are the workshops! I got the chance to assist to part of the paper flower and calligraphy workshops. Both were amazing and brides-to-be looked so happy to learn a new skill.
If you missed it, follow The Paper Place on Instagram and keep an eye open for their next workshop. And if you have a love for the art of lettering, start following Toronto base calligrapher Lisa Mavian on Instagram!

  1. Amazing pictures clicked by your photographer. He seems an experienced one in photography work. Well I am also going to finalize an experienced photographer for my wedding photography at Los angeles wedding venues. Any ideas?
